the following is a series of "talk poems" crafted in the tradition of the late poet, critic, and performance artist David Antin. Antin’s work in postmodern forms of art and writing led him, in the 1970s, to begin improvisational poems that are a kind of thinking out loud about the act of creating meaning.
the themes of these talk poems were often inspired by their location and audience, blending personal narrative with philosophical reflection to address issues of meaning.
